About God of War

God of War has been a very prominent name in the hack’n’slash RPG genre. However, with the last installment, God of War 4, the world thought this was the end for Kratos and in turn, the franchise. But boy oh boy, were we wrong.

In 2016, we saw a surprise teaser trailer release showcasing the return of a character that resembled a lot like the lead protagonist of the God of War franchise, Kratos. However, we knew what had happened in the previous titles, the story ended. But Santa Monica had a different plan, one that extended the story but not in the way anyone would have thought.

God of War

After killing Zeus and Aries, the game somehow ventured into the Norse mythology where Kratos along with this son Atreus, journeyed to fulfill his second wife’s final dying request, one that involved her ashes be spread at the highest peak of the nine realms.

This change had many confused at the start as how can two mythologies coexist together but Santa Monica did a beautiful job at deal with this aspect. We won’t spoil too much but if you own a PS4 and you still haven’t played this game, go and get it right now. This is one game no gamer should go on without playing. It is truly a piece of art.
